Toyota has officially revealed the new generation of the Harrier SUV ahead of its launch in Japan and will be launched globally later around the year. The Harrier is originally a mid Size SUV which was launched by Toyota in late 1997 and is not only the trademark of the Tata. From the images it seems that Toyota Harrier will gain lot of attention if launched in the Indian market and would be tough competitor for other SUV’s. The official launched date is yet to be confirmed by the company, while it expected to launch globally, later part of this year.
On the exterior the front led lights and the new Grille makes the vehicle look much sportier and attractive along with the long bonnet which gives the SUV a sleek profile. At the rear end the Toyota Harrier gets a sharp line of tail lamps and stop lamps. The SUV has a dynamically changing body cross section which that creates an attraction and more powerful side stance. Currently it is said that the SUV will be available in a total of 7 colours.
On the Interior the SUV is expected to dual tone colour shades of low contrast brown, gray and black. The SUV comes with a large 12.3inch touch screen console at the centre with the features such as the Android Auto and Apple Car play. The Toyota Harrier also gets an adjustable Panoramic Sunroof which allows for the fresh to the SUV and makes the drive more comfortable. The dashboard extends from the instrumental panel to the door trims on either side of the Car. The SUV is also equipped with the electro chromatic windows and electric shades. The Toyota Harrier will also be equipped with the JBL premium sound system with 9 speakers.
The Toyota Harrier is expected to come with a 2.0 Litre Petrol Engine along with the 2.5Litre Petrol Hybrid Engine as a second powertrain option.
The Toyota Harrier comes safety features such as Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Parking Support Brakes which helps to reduce the damage from collisions during the low speed or parking along with the Digital Inner Mirror used to enable recording of both the front and rear of the vehicle during driving. The SUV also gets Standard Airbags along with the seat belt reminders and the rear parking assist which helps to reduce the damages of the vehicle.
